Description Endurance Running
I have put up an Activity diary on Seesaw for you to fill in your fitness work this week. It is on your classroom and the Level 3/4 Specialist Classroom under activities. Remember to do the Warm up Videos first. You are asked to run/jog for a minimum of 12 mins. This is not a sprint so the idea is to continuously run/jog for as long as you can. Only then should you walk if you really, really can’t continue. Each day you do this the aim is to run/jog for a little bit longer. The run is to be done out the front of your house with parents’ permission and supervision. After you have done your run/jog you will do some strength training. Each Exercise will be done 3 times through of 12 reps. ( I will explain that in the video - 4) Your goal is to do these activities 4 times a week. Each time you do it you are trying to run/jog for longer until you can get to 10 – 12 mins without stopping. (This will be by the end of 4 weeks) If you can already run/jog for 12 mins see if you can improve your distance in that time. That means go faster. I’ll look forward to seeing your responses in Seesaw. Upload your diary at the end of the week with whole weeks’ results in it. If you have any questions you can ask me in our meeting. Good luck. Strength Training – Upper body (arms) If you don’t have 0.5kg weights, you can use canned vegies or filled water bottles, etc.
