Video 1. Introduction Video 2. The Activity Video 3. The Challenge |
Week beginning 31 August |
WALT (what we are learning today)We are learning the
Step Over turn and the The foot stall (freestyle) |
DescriptionThe prime objective in Soccer is to score goals. The defences job is to prevent that from happening and to set up play for midfielders and forwards to score. A job is made more difficult by a strong defence. Today we are looking at some ball skills attackers can use to get past defending opposition. As wee as some free style moves.

EquipmentEquipment is required.
A soccer ball or a similar sized rubber ball. Anything around the same size will do even a plastic ball from the $2 shop is fine. |
Tuning in/ Warm up:
This weeks warm up is a bit more intense for whole body.
This is the type of warm-up I usually do before a weights session no matter what body part I am am training.
Warning... Its a killer. If unfit take it slow but give it a go. I'm breathless 1/2 way. Good luck!
Warm up 2: Another reflex test.
Press the link and check your reaction time while
driving. I think I did okay on this one.
Activity: Step Over turn
Challenge: Foot stall.
This is the first step to learning around
the world, these are freestyle moves but are lots of fun. You can do this move in small areas where there is little space.
Remember with all these moves persistence is the key.
So don't give up.
Cool things always take a lot of effort to learn.
It's the boring stuff that's easy.
